While name plates are common in most workplaces, we all need them for different reasons. And, many of us have a desk or cubicle at work, so it’s easy to display that coveted piece of personal identification. And while most name plates have a name and title, some are used for other reasons around the office.

Name plates easily sit on a corner or small portion of your desk.

Use a traditional metal desk holder for your plastic or metal engraved name plate. These sit conveniently on the corner of any desk so that they are visible to passersby. Another option is to choose an acrylic desk block or executive desk wedge. These options, while a little less traditional, actually offer an upgrade to your name plate look.

Another option for a desk top is the plastic desk base. This classy item fits most designs and still allow the nameplate to sit on the corner of your desk comfortably. Or, be a little less traditional and set it on your computer monitor or tower.

Attach name plates to the front of a desk.

We have also seen more growth to our inventory. Not only does this increase mean more options for our customers, but it means strength to our brand. We released three new products this year to meet the requests and needs of our customers.

As with previous years, we have also seen growth inside of our company. We have a new Customer Service Manger and a Senior Account Manager. Hannah and Aimee (respectively) are here to serve our customer’s every need. Of course, we still have the best customer service around to help anyone with their personal identification needs.

Due to some of our new products, our production and shipping department has seen an increase in our machinery. This includes a laminator as well as a new, fancy printer for our name tags. Production and shipping also do a fantastic job with making sure all customer orders are produced and shipped appropriately and promptly.

It was also recently announced at our annual employee Christmas party that our error rate is still under 1%! Here’s a quick review of our current year-to-date statistics:

Since January 1, 2016, Coller Industries has had a total of 122 errors coming from 31,694 orders total. Our overall error rate is 0.393%. This means that 1 in about every 255 orders may contain a mistake; great news for our customers!

Introducing: Partition Pins

Last week we announced a new name plate product. This week, we have another one: partition pins!

Not only are name plates common in office settings, but they are often seen in retail and other settings. The conundrum, however, comes when trying to find the right type of name plate and fastener or holder to use.

There are many different options for name plates. We offer a basic laser engraved name plate, which is great for a quick name and title. This type of name plate is the most versatile and can be moved around with a person from office to office, or cubicle to cubicle. But what happens when they need to be hung on a cubical or movable wall? We’ve all seen those wonderful fabric walls! So, we’re introducing our new Partition Pins!

Partition Pins are designed for attaching name plates and small office signage to fabric, cloth or carpet on walls, doors, cubicles and partitions. These pins are perfect for a do-it-yourself alternative to other fastener options such as Velcro, adhesive or screws. Simply attach these pins, which come in pairs, to the back of a name plate and slide the pins into the cloth on a cubicle wall. These pins securely hold the name plate up until it’s time to move it. They are also easily used on a wall mount instead of directly on the back of a name plate. These pins are also made so they don’t damage partition or cubicle walls.

These partition pins can be attached to all of our name plates and most of the wall mounts. Simply peel the backing off the adhesive on the back of the pin and press firmly down onto the desired surface. They prevent slipping and falling!
