using badge holders to create a festive holiday photo albumWith the holidays coming, people are looking for a creative way to display their pictures. And, many people look forward to receiving homemade gifts for the holidays. Here’s a great little tutorial on how to make a mini photo album for those wanting to see your holiday pictures!

Follow these five, easy steps to create your photo album.

Badge holders are perfect for this cute craft. And, every year people take so many photos that these will come in handy not only for the holidays but year round.

Step 1

Choose the badge holder size that you would prefer for your book. Yes, this step is that simple, but we do carry several different sizes and badge holder types that it is going to take a bit to decide what will work best for your project.

Step 2

Either work with the inserts that can be ordered with the badge holders, or make a template so you can trim each picture to the correct size. The photos will need to be cut to fit either the badge holder or any insert you want to fit into the album.

Step 3

using badge holders as a creative and festive holiday photo albumFind the pictures you want to use and place them in order. Are you focusing on a theme for your photo album? Maybe you’re creating this for a grandparent so that it should be full of pictures of their grandchildren. Or, perhaps you’re making this for a Christmas present, so you want holiday pictures. Birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Easter, the list goes on! Whatever your theme, make sure your photos match.

Place your pictures in order. Before you start filling your badge holders with priceless memories, remember that sometimes arrangement is essential. The organization will depend on your theme for your album.

Step 4

Start stuffing! Don’t forget that badge holders are clear and you can use both sides to display pictures. And, don’t limit yourself to just photos. Use the inserts to create unique messages for the recipient. With someone a happy birthday or Merry Christmas right in the middle of all the festive pictures.

using badge holders with dry erase markers for a school book or photo albumAnother great idea is to use the badge holders with a dry erase marker. Scrawl out a cute message and then have a child sign it right on the badge holder. Or, if this album is a gift for a child, include pages that they can draw on with the dry erase markers.

Step 5

using badge holders and personalized ribbons to create a festive holiday photo albumSecure the badge holders together. Use some of our custom ribbon rolls to tie all your pictures together. Not only will the photos leave a lasting impression, but personalized ribbons are a great touch. There are so many ways to use ribbon to tie it all together. With the different punched holes and slots in each badge holder, creativity is key to finishing this project.

From creative, personalized ribbons to the final photo album, your loved ones are sure to enjoy this easy and fun craft for their holiday presents!

3 Great Inserts for Reusable Products

It’s new product time again! This time it is INSERTS!

And, to top it off, these badges and plates offer an easy system to provide personal identification to staff will still having a professional look.

Mighty Badges™ are one of these reusable products. And now, they just got better!

But, first things first. For those who do not know what a Mighty Badge™ is:

Each badge comes in three parts: the metal back plate, the printable insert and the clear lens. The metal back plate has the option of leaving it blank or printing a UV color logo on it. Add names with the printable inserts using your laser or inkjet printer. Then add the clear, plastic lens by snapping it into place over the top of everything to hold the badge together. Choose from multiple sizes to create a great look for a professional name tag.

reusable personal identification products now have three types of inserts for mighty badgesAnd now, how we just made these better!

We use to just sell one type of printable insert for each Mighty Badge™.

Classic Clear:

Meant for a larger run of names, these clear, plastic inserts are torn out of the sheet after printing. Use each sheet on either a laser or inkjet printer. You will want to make sure you print the whole sheet as it is not recommended to run these through your printer after you remove any of the inserts.

Now we sell three types! And they’ll work with most printers out there!

Clear Peel Off:

These clear, plastic peel off inserts are designed for those who only need one at a time. Simply print the names you need and remove them from the sheet as you need them. They fit most Mighty Badges™ sizes and are available for both laser and inkjet printers.

Paper Peel Off:

Perfect for full color logos or designs, these opaque, paper peel off inserts will give your name tag a unique look. They cover the back plate entirely with your full color insert. Use either a laser or inkjet printer and remove them one at a time from the sheet or use the whole sheet at once.

And, of course, we still offer the Classic Clear Inserts.

Donation Spotlight: San Raphael Chamber

conventions, scholarship, donation for charity

We recently had the opportunity to donate to the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce. They were kind enough to answer some questions for us about their wonderful organization.

Name Tag: What is the name of your company or organization? Do you have a mission statement?

San Rafael: San Rafael Chamber of Commerce – Women of Industry Awards Event

Mission Statement:  The San Rafael Chamber of Commerce is a member-based business advocacy organization providing a strong voice in support of the economic vitality of our community.

NT: What was donated to you? How did/will it help your organization?

SR: 250 3×4 magnetic badge holders for gifts to participants of the Women of Industry annual awards event.

Your donation of the name badges was invaluable to raising greater funds for our scholarships that offer financial assistance to a San Rafael woman entrepreneur or small business owner so she may attend the San Rafael Leadership Institute – a leadership program of the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce. Without this donation the name badges would have been a necessary expense that would have reduced the funds raised.

NT: If you could describe your company/organization in 3 words what would they be?

SR: Chamber of Commerce

NT: Do you have any other comments you would like to add?

SR: We thank you very much for your continued support of this annual event, now in its 2 year, and look forward to having your support in years to come.

We are so pleased we could help out with the scholarship program at San Raphael Chamber. If you are with an organization that you think could benefit from a donation from our company please contact us a marketing@nametag.com.
